This auction is for an old cast iron mitre box made by Miller's Falls Tools. It is a Langdon Acme Mitre Box Size 2 No. 73A. It has a few patent dates with the most recent being "Sept 28, 1909". There is a spring loaded peg missing from the back saw holder, but it doesn't affect the operation of it. It has a lot of adjustments and there are ball bearings for the back of the saw to ride on.The saw is about 24 1/2" long and it was made by Atkins. It appears to be in good condition. It has some light surface rust on the blade, but it is straight and sharp. It weighs about 20 lbs and the saw weighs another 3 lbs., so keep shipping charges in mind when bidding! Low minimum bid, no reserve.
