Bidding has ended on this item. Item:Vintage Mini Round Folk Art Basket w Single Rod Coiling |

Up for auction is a beautiful coiled little folk art basket, made by a very talented weaver. Let me state up front that I don't know who made it, although its shape and materials remind me of the similarly woven Washoe Indian baskets of old. (It's possible it is actually of Washoe manufacture, but I am listing it in Primitives because I really don't know.) The artist used a single-rod coil technique with gap stitching, and the basket is small and symmetrical. The basket's shape is nicely rounded. It's a nice one!
The basket is a nice small size, perfect for display, measuring 2¼" across at the widest point and 1¼" deep. The lovely basket is in just pristine condition with no breaks, stains, or any damage whatever. This is a lovely example of innovative folk art weaving and will make a beautiful addition to someone's collection of Southwest US baskets or artifacts.
Additional Notes: I will be happy to combine shipping for multiple purchases. Please don't hesitate to email me if you have any questions, and please take a look at my other auctions I'm listing today for some nice old Indian baskets.
