This auction is for a 1960's vintage Mosrite Joe Maphis Bass Guitar(and case) in original condition with a few modifications that were made by the previous owner. 1) the original pick-ups were replaced with EMG selects , although pick-up rings are original. 2) mini-toggle switch added  3) strap button was
at one time relocated to the neck heel, but has since been filled (wood filler) and moved to the back of the body just above the neck heel ( I'll add pictures of this) 4) cat sticker applied to headstock by previous owner( this could be removed carefully) All else appears original, except maybe the volume pot. I could not confirm the manufacture date of this instrument by looking at the pots, as there
is some build-up covering the code on the tone pot which appears original. This is a great playing instrument with a straight neck, and a very unique sound. I have never tried to make any truss rod adjustment, as none has ever been necessary. The finish is in overall very good condition with the usual nicks and scratches associated with a vintage instrument that has been played, but taken care of( see photos) There is slight buckle rash on the back.
