You are bidding on a vintage, mint condition Muffy & Lulu VanderBear doll set, and this auction also includes some beautiful clothes and accessories.  Muffy VanderBear is a 7" tall, fully-jointed, golden colored plush bear with a hand-stitched nose.  She is the littlest member of the VanderBear Family and has special outfits and accessories all her own.  Lulu VanderBear is Muffy VanderBear's light cream colored dog, and she too has an outfit of her own.  Doll Tush Tag credits include Barbara Isenberg Designs, and Odl & Kalya Bauer.

The VanderBear Family History

In the spring of 1984, with help from the North American Bear Company, Muffy came to life as the fifth and smallest (7" tall) member of the VanderBear Family.  The family included papa Cornelius (20" tall), momma Alice (18" tall), and twin brother and sister, Fuzzy and Fluffy (both 12" tall).  Like the rest of her family, Muffy has rich golden colored plush faux fur, felt pawpads, a fully-jointed body and a hand stitched nose.  Little Lulu VanderBear has soft, light cream colored fur, a black nose and black fur covered eyes.  Because papa Cornelius firmly believes that "clothes make the bear," Muffy, Lulu and the rest of her family are always appropriately and well dressed for every occasion.
