Description: Vintage New York, New Haven & Hartford Railway railroad lantern. The burner appears to be brass. This great old lantern would make a great addition to your railroad lantern collection.
Approximate measurements: Measures 15 1/2" tall including the handle, 10" tall not including the handle. The base has a 6 1/2" diameter.
Markings: N.Y.N.H. & H.R.R. (embossed in globe) Adlake, The Adams & Westlake Co., New York Chicago Phila, Adlake Reliable, N.Y.N.H. & H (on lantern) There are also patent dates that go back to 1897.
Condition: Excellent condition with very minor dents. There are no chips in the globe. The wick adjustment turns freely but the wick does not move.
Additional information: Keep in mind that when dealing with any vintage cast item that there may be casting flaws. I will declare all major casting flaws that I find. Contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
