Description

 Up for auction is a vintage ink blotter advertisement for the National Spectrographic Laboratories, Inc. plus the original envelope that it came in.  This company was located on 6300 Euclid Ave. Cleveland OH.  I am not sure if this company still exists or not.

The ink blotter measures approx. 9" X  3-7/8".    The back side is an all blue typical ink blotter from back in the day.  I do not know how old this may be but there are some indications it is in fact somewhat old.  For example, there is no ZIP codes in the addresses on the card or envelope. The postage on the envelope is 1 cent, imagine that?  Also the phone number has no area code  "UTah 1-4664".  And the model posing on the front is clearly not of this era !!!!!!

The original envelope with National Spec. Labs also sort of advertises on the front of it and  is addressed to an individual at the Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corporation in Brackenridge, PA which is about 25 miles up the Allegheny River from Pittsburgh.   The Allegheny Ludlum Steel Mill is a large specialty steel mill and it is still operating quite well.

This great collector's piece is in great condition.
