Here is a nice looking vintage Nikomat Nikon FTN SLR camera in excellent condition in its original camera body.
Included with the camera are a 50 mm Nippon Kogaku Nikkor-S Auto 1:1.4 lens (Japan No. 821862), a L1A 52 mm Nikor Japan lens filter (in fair condition), a large machined lens cap, and a full leather camera case with carrying strap, which is also in fair condition.
The lens focuses from 2 feet to infinity. Shutter speeds are 1/1,000 second to 1 second with a bulb setting. The film advance and counter, iris, shutter speeds, timer, and lens all appear to work properly. An accessory shoe in its original box and a FT instruction manual are also included.
Both the camera and lens are very clean and in excellent condition. It appears to have only been used a few times by my deceased father-in-law, who reportedly purchased it while vacationing in Asia in the early 1970's. Although I have not tested the camera, based on its condition and operation, there is no reason it should not function properly and take great photos.
The Nikkormat FTN was produced from 1967 to some time in the 1970's and popular with professionals.
This camera uses a PX625 battery that can be purchased on eBay for $5.99.
