You May Be Glad To Know My Vintage North "Nexus" Drums Are Finally Up For Grabs After All These Years!!!!  This Is The Story Behind This Phenomenal Set Of North Drums.

I Purchased These Drums In 1981. While Driving By A Local Drum Shop, I Spied Them In The Drum Shop Front Window. Saliva Ran Down The Side Of My Face, I Fell In Love With Them Immediately, And After Some 27 Years I Still Feel The Same. Obviously I Have Decided To

Sell Them And Now Is Your Opportunity To Place A Winning Bid And Begin A Love Afffair Of Your Own. 

Now For Some Particulars......... I Am The Second Owner Of These Drums. They Are Model Number NDS-6 And Serial Number 2816. They Are The Early Fiberglass Model With The Metal Plate Badges And Have The Serial Number Stamped Into Each One. They Were Originally Arctic White In Color And Were Painted A Very Nice Royal Blue By The Original Owner. The Paint Job Was Done Rather Nicely, And Has Held Up RemarkablyWell Even Some 27 Years Later As Is Evidenced By The Photographs. All Trim Rings, Lugs, Badges, And Hardware Are Also Present. There Are No Cracks Whatsoever In The Fiberglass. The Very Top Edge Of The Chrome Rim  And To A Smaller Extent Along The Side Of The Rim Has Experienced Some Pitting, But Overall Seems To Be Remarkably Decent. When I Bought The Drums, I Also Purchased Foam Lined Hard Cases That Were Designed For These Drums. I Do Believe This Played A Huge Part In Preserving These Drums; One Of The Main Reasons These Drums Are Still In Such Great Shape. Though The Exterior Of The Cases Are In Great Shape, The Foam Interior Lining Is Flaking And I Would Recommend Replacing It Should You Have A Need For Them. The Original Rack Is LONG Gone And Was Replaced With A Much Superior Gibralter Rack. It Also Includes Two Additional Clamps To Hold Boom Stands Which I Am Including With The Drums.  You Will Find Some Detioration Of The Chrome On The Stand, But Overall, It Is Also Remarkably Decent. The Toms Are 6, 8, 10, 12, and 14" For The Floor Tom. The Bass Drum is a 22" And Is One Of The Best Bass Drums I've Ever Heard. Clearly The Toms Have A Unique Percussive Note To Them As Well And It Was ALWAYS A Pleasure To Both Play Them And To Hear Them Played. They Have Been Miked In A Studio Setting With Excellent Results.  North Drums Are Clearly A Very Unique And Rare Find In This Day And Age, And It Is My Wish That You Would Enjoy Them As Much As I Have.
