Vintage LARGE ORNATE Patinated BRASS Reticulated TABLE LAMP

This is an absolutely outstanding large (40" high) table lamp that has TWO LOOKS -- the base actually comes off so you can have display the bulbous lamp you see in the first 3 images, or the slim profile lamp you see in images #5 and #7.   In images #5 & #6 you can also see how the base looks when it is removed (please click to enlarge any images). It is actually brass that has had a black patination applied to it. This black is original to the lamp (no, it's not spray painted!). It has an ornate reticulated pattern and this lamp was made in the 1920s. It's a real period classic ... made in the style of the neo-Egyptian decor that was quite popular at the time. It has a triple socket -- two sockets facing down (that have pull chain switches) and one facing up which can hold a torchiere shade. The sockets that face down are standard bases while the socket that faces up is a "mogul" base (shown in image four -- "moguls" are a larger than standard socket but easy to find at a lighting store ... or you can get an inexpensive converter; moguls were generally made to go with torchiere lamps). This spectacular lamp displays beautifully, has an exceptionally attractive silhouette and is sure to be a centerpiece in any decor.

Dimensions It measures 40" High with the base in place and the removable base is 9" X 9" X 12" High.

Condition Good estate condition. No damage. A few minor flakes from the patina do not interfere. NOTE that the cord has been cut (this is as found) which is better for your safety anyway ... old cords are seldom usable anymore and it's always best for safety's sake to get old lamps rewired.. All our items are used or antique and, as such, have the normal amount of wear and tear that's commensurate with their age.

You will receive more than one email both from eBay and from Lennon Hall Antiques. The most important email will be your eBay invoice and you can click through on that to pay for your item. We reserve the right to void the auction if we don't receive payment in 10 days.

SHIPPING DETAILS

Once you pay for your item it will be packed for shipping. The method of shipping depends on the size of your purchase. Most things are crated or boxed by our PROFESSIONAL SHIPPER. You will receive an email from us or from iship.com with a tracking number. Small items are sent via USPS Priority Mail and should arrive in a few days. We have just started using Greyhound to save you money. Please note that if we do use Greyhound it can save you up to 50% of the cost of UPS, FedEx or our blanket wrap trucker. However, you have to pick up your items at the Greyhound depot. Most times the money saved makes this worth it. Alternatives are: medium size pieces (small pieces of furniture, etc.) going by UPS; these items are generally custom boxed and typically arrive within a few days to a week. Large pieces of furniture are custom crated and shipped by our trucker, Arrow Express. Once the trucker picks up your item from us, it normally takes two to three weeks to arrive. However, many things can impact the time of a truck shipment so it can take as long as eight weeks, depending on your location.

About Shipping Costs: We are working very hard to keep shipping costs down and because both USPS and UPS have raised their rates and the trucker is charging a surcharge, we have recently started using Greyhound to help reduce the shipping prices you pay. This does necessitate your picking up the item on your end at the Greyhound station - we hope the money saved compensates for the time involved in doing this. WE ALWAYS COMBINE SHIPPING TO DISCOUNT MULTIPLE PURCHASES BUT THEY MAY NOT BE ABLE TO BE BOXED TOGETHER. PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND.

About LOCAL (NY tri-state area) shipments: We always welcome pick ups and never charge for this service. Also, we have a local delivery service that can deliver up to five items for the same price, anywhere within the NY tri-state area. If you are local, please ask for a price quote for this very affordable service.

INSURANCE

We always include insurance in your shipping price. Antiques and vintage items are vulnerable to any aggressive handling so it's important they always be insured when shipping. We value our products and are as upset as you are if anything gets damaged! In the unlikely event that your item does get damaged in shipment, it is always fully insured and we will work with you every step of the way to recover this insurance. Please let us know immediately if an item is damaged in shipment and please make sure to retain all your packing material.
