C O N D I T I O N - Because we are direct importers, we are able to bring you quality antiques and vintage items at the most reasonable prices possible.  Please note, however, that antiques and vintage items are not new and will show varying degrees of age and wear (i.e. patina, nicks, dings, etc.)  We do our best to describe each item in detail, but we often do not overstate obvious signs of normal age and wear that are inherent in these items.  Please contact us before bidding with any specific questions and we will be happy to answer.

Wood pieces often experience some sort of cracking or warping due to changes in climate, hydration or dehydration.  If they occur at all, they are usually minor stress cracks which are structurally insignificant and cosmetically appealing. 

Painted pieces will often show natural distressing from use and can often show a bit of age or separation as is normal in antique painted furniture.  We will make every effort to point out and photograph extreme cases of distressing, chipped, worn or damaged finishes.  Also, we have the ability to touch up any of these areas for you before we ship, should you wish.

Please contact us before bidding with any specific questions or concerns and we will be happy to answer.  If there is something of particular concern, we can often send you photographs via email of that area within 24 - 48 hours of your request.

Please note that handcrafted items can vary slightly in size.  We will make every effort to point out any significant variances to you.

S H I P P I N G -  We offer shipping as a courtesy to our buyers and go to great lengths to insure that we ship your purchase in the safest and most cost effective way possible. You are also welcome to pick up your purchase from our warehouse in Atlanta.  Buyers are responsible for all packing and shipping costs.  Please allow at least seven to ten days for your items to be processed and packed.  Depending on mode of delivery, shipping can take anywhere from one to six weeks after leaving our warehouse.  Shipping is FOB Atlanta unless otherwise stated.  Please note that we cannot be held responsible for shipping delays after an item leaves our warehouse.

Shipping of small items and small pieces of furniture:  We prefer to ship via UPS when size permits and provide the necessary packing and often custom crating to insure safe delivery.  If your item qualifies for UPS, you will see a shipping calculator below on this page.   Shipping via UPS usually takes seven to ten business days after the date it leaves our warehouse.  Upon shipping, you will be notified via email with tracking information.

Large furniture pieces and shipments of multiple pieces of furniture will be shipped via Blanket Carrier or Freight Carrier:

Blanket Shipping – our usual mode of delivery for large items and probably the safest, as we only use companies that are set up to only handle furniture and antiques.  Furniture is carefully blanket wrapped and delivered into your home or office.  Best value if shipping more than one item from us, as shipping costs are determined by weight and not by piece. 

Freight Carrier - requires packing furniture onto wooden pallets that will be then moved via forklift.  Very safe mode of delivery, but can often take up to 4 to 6 weeks for delivery due to trucking routes at any given time.  Pallet delivery is to your sidewalk or driveway only.  Drivers will not unpack or move items into your home or office.  Is rarely less expensive than blanket shipping, but we offer it as an alternative for those times where it is more cost-effective.

We are very happy to provide you with shipping quotes for any of these methods, but please ... serious customers only!   

W O R L D W I D E  S H I P P I N G - We can ship to any international location.  Please contact us directly for shipping quotes.  Small items will be shipped through the US Postal Service.  Large items will be shipped via Freight Companies.  However, it is impossible for us to provide exact quotes for international shipping without specifics.  Please note that we are only able to give ESTIMATES of shipping for international buyers until the auction is complete.  This is due to the fluctuation of currencies, shipping rates and delivery specifics.  If you are located outside North American, most quotes will be from our warehouse to a shipping terminal for your pick-up.  Unless you are purchasing several pieces from us, which would make Ocean Freight cost effective, we will be delivering via air to the nearest airport or to a confirmed business address..  Local delivery to a residence can often be arranged at an additional cost.  It is usually more cost effective for the buyer to arrange residential delivery within their own country.
