This auction
is for the Marbles Safety Hatchet pictured on the left.
It is in nice overall condition. The head is
tight. It is marked on the guard with the location
and a 1898 patent date. It has no pitting or rust. The
wooden
handles look good, but I do not know if they are
original. I do not see a model # but it might be a
#5 Marbles, or a #2, or #3 safety hatchet but this well
known Michigan maker of camp and safety hatchets.
I do not know a lot, but I can
guarantee it is not one of the new knock-offs and this
is a genuine vintage hatchet by this Michigan company.

Shipping cost for this item will run $10.00.
I ship UPS for heavy and large items and Priority Mail on lighter items, Fixed
rate if more economical. I will combine for multiple purchases.
I do not make money packing and shipping, I pack carefully and add just enough to cover
materials if needed.
Insurance is additional and mandatory
