I have a fairly large collection of old sewing patterns, most with the envelopes showing age yellowing typical of these older patterns. Some of the envelopes are also torn (the envelopes get brittle with age when stored for several decades in an attic). Look at my picture to see the condition.
I believe all of these pattern envelopes would have some value for the period illustrations, and most of the patterns would be good for sewing costumes as well as still good for dressmaking. They have reached the age that they have some historical interest in addition to any practical value they might have. I am not checking any of them, but some of these patterns were never used, and most appear to have been used and then the pattern pieces carefully replaced in the envelopes.
