This old Pelouze "STEEL KING" ICE BALANCE spring loaded scales is rusty, but in very good working condition.  Scales are heavy duty, well made & rated for up to 300 lbs.  Even thought the scales have not been cleaned, I feel fairlyconfident the face plate is brass.  It shows a Sept 15, 1903 patent date.  With a hook on the bottom & a ring on the top for hanging, the overall length is 16".  Would look great when cleaned up.
