Vintage RCA BK-5B Ribbon Microphone

This is a classic BK-5B ribbon mic that has seen some action and picked up a few scratches and scrapes along the way, but no serious damage. It still looks pretty good, it works perfectly, and sounds awesome. The BK-5B is one of the last of the great RCA ribbon mics and one of the best ribbon mics ever made by anyone. It was designed to replace the 77-DX for TV work. Some experts claim that it sounds even better than the 77-DX. The BK-5B has recently been re-discovered by sound engineers and has become increasingly popular over the past several years. It’s a rugged unidirectional mic with a voice/music switch and an internal blast filter to protect it from loud noises. It’s all complete including the shockmount, stand adaptor, and a new cable. It will be sure to enhance your mic arsenal.
