Vintage Reglor of California 1954 Lamps

There are 67 photos of the item below. Some damage to note:

--- The female lamp base has a repaired figure mount (this is the area where the steel post of the figure enters the lamp base). This is an epoxy repair

--- There is a fine crack on the female lamp base, it goes from the back to around the front (it does not go all of the way around, about miday around the back to across the front), you can see this in the close-up photos of that area

--- One hand on the female had been broken and glued (see photos)

--- There is a chip missing on the top of the male lamp, see the photos.

--- Both shades have tears and darkening on the under liner around the top opening on the inside (see photos).

--- Both lamp shade tops (I believe these are called fineals?), are cracked and have a piece of clear tape around where they connect to the tops. Again, see photos

Each lamp stands about 37" tall overall and the base area of each lamp is 24" tall (not counting the light fixture). The shades are about 25-1/2" in diameter. The female lamp base has had some cleaning while the male base has not been cleaned (has dust and surface soiling, the brown spots on the male lamp do clean off. On both lamp there is old dust in the details of the base, I would say both could use cleaning. Both figures have dust and need cleaning. There are a few paint scuffs on the female figure (on the legs as I remember). Some paint chipping to the bases mainly around the front bottom area (see photos), some paint scuffs in other places with small paint chips as well.

Each figure slides out of the base. One of the shades appears faded compared to the other and the faded shade has some uneveness to the color (a little lighter on one side). On one shade there is some areas of surface dust that look like faded spots.

These lamps are large and heavy. I will need up to five days after payment is made to ship (I will most likely ship in 3 days after payment but may need additonal time depending on what other items I have recently sold and have been paid prior to this item). These lamps will require special care to pack safely. There will be four containers total, the shades in one container, the figures in another and the bases each in their own. The most difficult will be the bases. I will have to open the fixture and undo the wiring to remove the shade support (you will have to reassemble this when it arrives, the wire will remain threaded through the base and you will just have to thread the top end through the shade support and reattach to the bulb fixture). The bases will be heavily bubblewrapped and packed in a custom made foam container then in a box. This will be packed in another foam container and boxed again (so double boxed with foam liners and lots of bubblewrap around the interior lamp base, I realize how fragile chalkware is so will go to whatever length necessary to get this packed properly, I undertand that the boxes will be handled roughly so these will have to be packed accordingly. The figures will be packed in a similar manner but sharing a container.

These will be shipped UPS ground only (I will not use fedex or usps, I have an account with UPS so it makes the cost reasonable). I am charging a flat rate of $300 for shipping. I am expecting to spend around $100 on packing materials (I will be using a lot of bubble wrap and will be using a few or more large sheets of foam). The base boxes will surely ship at a dimensional rate. I believe this is an overall fair cost for the shipping and handling.
