The Dyna-sonic is one precise drum. It’s no wonder these brass rings are prized by orchestral players; their sensitivity and crispness is without peer. And unlike many vintage Rogers, this one’s still got the snare frame.
This nice Dyna-sonic has the original older-style three-piece bottom hoop. Condition is very good. The shell has no pitting or rust, the lugs have minor pits as do the hoops. The serial number on the badge is 15328, which puts this drum around mid-late 60s; probably Dayton or early Fullerton.
The Puresound snare wires are recent as is the frame hardware (courtesy of Dave Drew). Muffler is intact. The throw has the coveted “D” stamped just below the tension screw. I belive the snare frame is from a later Big R drum.
If you don’t have one of these, you owe it to yourself to snatch this one up.
