This very attractive rook is a beautiful shade of green. (The rook is a European bird similar to a crow.) It is perched on a tray or shallow bowl. The light part on the back of the bird in the photo is caused by the light of the camera. Measurements are 4 1/2 inches by 8 inches. The rookwood mark is on the bottom followed by XLIX and 1139. The bottom is white, not brown as shown in the photo. This item is in excellent condition; no chips, cracks, crazing, or defects. Beginning bid is $50.
