This is a large (about 2 gallon) stoneware jug with an Indian Head logo stamped in blue on one side.  It has no other makers marks.  The logo appears to have some sort of design or writing around it but I cannot make out what it is.  It weighs just over 10 pounds and stands 12 inches and is about 8 inches in diameter.  It had one handle which has long been broken off and a handy holder on the opposite side from the handle.  It has a very clean hole in the bottom, perhaps it was used as a lamp at one time.  The hole has no cracks around it, so I wonder if it was meant to be there as drainage for some reason (hubby suggests moonshining).  Other than the missing handle, it is in very good condition with a hairline just to the left of the logo which does not go through to the inside, no chips, just the usual glaze pops and imperfections common to old salt glazed stoneware.  A very charming piece to add to your collection.  No Reserve!
