Description:
This face bezel was just removed from an early 1900's Sessions chime mantle clock that had been unused and in storage for many years. Overall condition is good. Convex glass is intact and mounted securely. Hindge rotates smoothly and easily. Face is slightly convex also with a beveled rim. Black enameling of the numbers, letters, and minute marks is dark and very legible.
Metal face measures 6 1/2 inches in diameter. Winding holes each have a protective metal insert to prevent damage to the face from the key and are approximately 3 1/8 inches apart center to center. Arbor hole to each winding hole is approximately 2 inches center to center. Arbor hole to fast/slow hole is approximately 1 3/4 inches.
The bezel rim is approximately 6 5/8 inches in diameter. Closes securely over the face. Glass is clear and in very good condition.
