You are bidding on a beautiful vintage Soundcraft 600 recording console circa 1985 in excellent working condition condition. This is a great, fat sounding vintage British recording desk with 24 mic preamps. This is the perfect desk to add some mojo to your Pro Tools recordings. The console has 24 mono channels with mic and line inputs as well as 8 groups/busses. The console also has a full producer's patch bay on the right side of the console with access to every input and output as well as 32 tie lines for outboard processing. The entire desk is fully modular and extremely easy to maintain and work on. It was fully refurbished and recapped in January of 2007 by Sluggo Audio near Philadelphia, PA. Included is a full array of cabling including Elco snakes.

Channel line inputs and channel direct outs are via 3 Elco connectors on the back of the console. They are +4, balanced connections. I have the original owner's manual with full pinouts for the Elco connectors and tons of great information.

The rear of the console also has the 24 mic inputs as well as 6 aux sends, control room outs, main mix outs, studio outs and Tape B and C ins and outs. All connections are balanced and +4 dBu. There are also 4 additional Elco connectors which have the inputs and outputs of everything that can be accessed via the patchbay. There are a total of 7 Elco connectors which keep connections simple.

This was designed as a true recording console, not a hybrid recording/live board. The producer's patchbay is truly a thing of beauty and convenience.

Each channel has 4 band EQ with high and low shelving at 10 kHz and 60 Hz respectively as well as two sweepable mid bands. High pass filter at 100Hz.

Full LED meter bridge for channels (post fader to mix) as well as VU metering for the stereo mix buss and PFL/AFL solo.

The original 2 rack unit power supply is included as well. It was also recapped and fully serviced in 2007. Also included are two spare channels and tons of spare parts and a mountain of wiring.

It pains me to sell this console but I am moving and will not have the space for it in an apartment.

Also, I have been getting some questions regarding the two white faders to the far right of the console. They are two spare mono channels (included) so essentially the console has a 26 channel frame plus 8 groups. I have inserted a 2 channel blank in their place which is fully removable. Again, the console is fully modular and can be customized to your specs. The meter bridge has 24 LED meters, which I have set to meter channel output to mix from channels one through 24. You could shift the meters to meter group outs if desired.

Due to the age of the console it is sold as-is, but inspection is welcome prior to bidding. The console is guaranteed not to be DOA and working. You will not find a cleaner Soundcraft 600.
