Vintage Southwest Zuni Indian Fetish Necklace
  • This is a beautiful hand carved animal Zuni necklace
  • It measures 28-1/2" in length with silver ends and hook to secure
  • Each hand carved animal fetish are so detailed and measure from 3/4" to 1"
  • The center middle one is a Thunderbird that is carved out of Turquoise. 
  • There are 15 different types of birds and fish, a bear, a crab, a squirrel, horse, dog and a Bunnie ~ each detailed with a different color stone for the eye. 
  • This necklace has Heishi beads and bright colored stones
  • I do not know the age of this necklace but it is excellent vintage condition ~ no broken pieces that I see
  • The silver ends have been left unpolished ~ there is a little Indian design around end
  • I do not see a signature
  • The Zuni Indians are known for their hand carved fetish pieces.  There are different meaning to each piece of fetish
  • Beautiful Zuni artwork and in excellent condition
