You are bidding on a vintage steel curb horse bit with grooved and inlaid shanks. I can't be sure what the metal is that is used to form the inlaid pattern, it could be aluminum, or nickle, or some other metal. I am not very familiar with horse bits and tried to find one like it to list it by type. If I described it wrong please send an e-mail and I will post additional info. This bit is un-marked. It measures about 4" across the mouthpiece, the rings at the front are 1/4" ID with 10-1/2" long chains with a swival link midway, the rear rings are about 3/4" ID and have a curb chain connecting to another smaller chain in the center. The mouthpiece is about 1/2" high in the center. The shanks are 6" long. This bit is in very good condition and appears to be un-used. It weighs 12.9 ounces, it will ship over 1 pound. I combine shipping and pass the savings on, so please view my other items.
