A reserve price is the minimum price the seller will accept. This price is hidden from bidders. To win, a bidder must have the highest bid and have met or exceeded the reserve price.
This pair of opera glasses are made of sterling with a Birmingham date of 1893-4. They are in good condition with good optics. The rings on the bottom extend so these could be used in the field as well as at the opera. There is a place for a monogram but there is none. The silver has some dings and dents as would be expected of a piece of this use and age. When closed thy opera glasses measure 4" tall. When open fully, both top and bottom they measure 6" tall. An amazing pair of binoculars or opera glasses offered at a modest reserve.
