Send in the Clowns . . .
You’re invited to bid on this Vintage, Hand Made Murano, Art Glass Clown Figure.
This is one of three, glass clowns that originally belonged to a relative & at some point found its way to my home. I remember the clowns as a child. They creeped me out then & they still do. Apologies to any collectors, but clowns have always made me squirm. Even now, all three are staring at me with those silly grins . . .
Since coming into my possession, the three clowns have been in storage. I just recently found them again, as I was spring cleaning. Based on my childhood memories, I know for a fact, they date back to the 1960’s.
This particular clown is 7” tall and weighs close to a pound. The entire figure is hand blown & formed glass. The bright, vivid colors are all over the place. The body is primarily clear with an orange, swirly tint. Up through the center of the body is a thick gold vein. The head is clear with yellow hair, a red nose & lips. His eyes are green on white & he’s sporting a white, multi-colored hat that looks like a tall fez. The gloves are white & his clown shoes are deep purple. Besides varying colors, each of the clowns is holding a different object. I can’t even imagine what this clown is holding. Without offending anyone, I’ll simply call it an orange “bulbous cylinder”. Your guess is as good as mine. Contrary to the rest of the figure, the “bulging cylinder” has a rough, textured surface.
As glass clowns go, he seems to be excellent shape. The only condition issue is a repair to his right foot. It looks as though he lost his clown shoe at some point. Although it’s nicely repaired; if you look underneath, you can see where it was re-attached. Other than that, the clown is perfect (and still creepy).
If you’re looking to complement your art glass, clown collection; this would definitely be an interesting addition!
Please . . . keep an eye out for my other clown listings and consider giving
these “jokers” a new home. The sooner
the circus moves on, the better!
Thanks for browsing and bidding!

COMMUNICATION Contact
between ebay members is fundamental. Unfortunately, ebay's
email system is "unreliable". To guarantee a response, I suggest
that you include an alternate email address with your message. I check my email several times a day & promise to respond to all questions within 24 hours. Remember to ask your questions early, so I can reply before the auction ends.
PAYMENT Online payments are preferred through Paypal. I will send an invoice to the winning bidder, within 12 hours of the auction’s conclusion. Payment is due within 5 days of the auctions conclusion. The purchaser must email me if paying by money order or cashiers check, so I can allow for mailing time. If after 5 days, you choose to renege on your commitment, the item will be re-listed, and negative feedback will be left on eBay as well as non-paying bidder complaint. Honesty is the best policy. If you have any payment issues or questions, email me & we’ll work on an agreeable resolution. Sorry, NO personal checks will be accepted. Insurance is required for all items. Additionally, I will
typically add $3 - $5 per parcel, for handling (possibly more,
depending on the item). This nominal charge simply helps to
defray the cost of packing materials and my time. I
can normally ship within 2 - 3 business days of receipt / confirmation
of payment. I will gladly combine shipping if more than one item
is purchased consecutively. And please excuse the redundancy, but some people don't get the domestic shipping provision. (Note: Choosing Priority Mail will reduce shipping time by several days. Parcel Post can take up to 15 business days. Once an item leaves my hands, 3 days after your payment is confirmed, shipping time is out of my control. So if you don’t care how long it takes to receive your item, by all means, choose Parcel Post.)
FEEDBACK is the benchmark by which all ebay users are judged If you are happy with your purchase after you receive it, please submit a positive feedback for me on ebay. Once I receive yours, I will respond in kind.
