This beautiful card has 3 layers.  Back layer is die cut paper with embossed design of flowers. The next layer is die cut paper with flowers attached with paper springs to give it a 3-D effect. On top of that is silver and white paper lace with scraps of a flowers and aboy. Card opens to a Valentine wish.   Measures approx 5 x 7.


This is an original Victorian Era Valentines Day card circa 1890-1910's. It is NOT a reproduction. During the 1890-1910's elaborate Valentine's Day cards were all the rage. They were made with lace, honeycomb paper, scraps of die cut images such as flowers, animals, children, angels, women and hearts. Often they are layered and have paper springs between the layers to give them a popped out 3-D look. Since most people during this era signed the card with only their names on the back they make a perfect card to give to your sweetie for Valentines! Guaranteed to be at least 100 years old!

Shipping: $2.50 (For international orders add 1.50)  and I will combine shipping on multiple auctions.  Items are sent First Class mail every Monday morning. Packages shipped in plastic with cardboard unless otherwise noted. Every once in a while, no matter how well I package your item, the post office seems to find a way to smash, crush, bend, rip, tear, submerge in water or just lose your package. I offer you the option of insurance at post office cost. Please consider it. (Insurance not available for international orders)
