Vintage Video Action II PONG video game very
rare
This is one of the very first home video game consoles –
the Video Action console, model VA II, made in 1975 by Universal Research Labs
Inc., in Elk Grove Village,
Illinois.
Has 3 game modes – hockey, soccer, tennis (pong). Four
large knobs and a button on the top. Fast and slow speed options. Measures about
23 inches x 13 inches x 4 inches, and is quite heavy. The game still works, as
you can see from the monitor images, however the video output is not perfect,
could use some adjustment. In good shape overall, although the lower front
corner has a chip out of the cabinet.
This is a very rare machine, only a few hundred were
made (serial # 1258). For information about this game see the following links.
On the Pong Rarity Guide page, this machine is listed as “extremely
rare”.
