These cranks and chainrings are in fact - BRAND NEW - they were taken from Viscount / Lambert bicycles after they went out of business.

Viscount bicycles were introduced in England and the USA in the early 70's.  They were affiliated with Reg Harris cycles ( Reg Harris was a rather famous racing cyclist from England ).  The Viscount bicycle line featured bicycles with evocative names like " Aerospace Pro " and one of their models even featured a 24 k gold plated frame !

Later .... Viscount was distributed solely in the USA by Yamaha - ( the motorcycle folks ) - Ad campaigns featured photos of the bicycle posed in front of a Lear jet !  -When Yamaha "pulled the plug" and ceased distribution of the Viscount bicycles a lot of them were " parted out " -( Yamaha felt they could get more money selling the parts "piecemeal" as opposed to selling the bicycles as complete units ! ).

170 mm crankarms ....42 / 52 chainrings ....9/16 x 20 t.p.i. English pedal threads ....made by TA in France for Lambert from the well-known " Cyclotourist " platform.  This crank / chainring bolt pattern allows for a very wide range of chainring sizes and is in fact still produced to this day.

All threads are intact and completely useable. 

Cranks and chainrings have lots of oxidation and you may wish to polish them up.

( The TA cyclotourist cranksets, even when new, were not exactly what an " appearance-obsessed " cyclist would refer to as " eye candy " )
