In the pictures that we see here is a large and majestic vintage Yale University banner. The banner is dark blue with white lettering. The measurements are aprox 20" X 45". It is in quite good condition with the exception of some age coloring, which is clearly pictured. Please keep in mind that there has been no attempt to clean it. There are a few small holes, probably from moths, but nothing major; and lastly there is some loose stitching on the 'Y' and the 'E'. The age of this wonderful banner is unknown, but it probably dates back to the early 1900's, but nothing later than the 1920's. The banner is made from 65% wool, 24% cotton and 11% rayon. The tag on the back says that it was made by the Nixon Company of Indian Orchard, Mass and gives proper care instructions. This is a wonderful banner that would be a fabulous antique touch to any dorm or alum household! xx25
