When we were cleaning out at PawPaw's house recently, we uncovered a few more pieces of vintage jewelry ... tonight's listings include some of it!
Here is a vintage crucifix 2 3/4 inches long ... it is unmarked, but I feel sure it is silver... I gave it a quick polishing, but it could use more. Has a loop at the top for hanging on a chain ... it is in two pieces, and has a little hole in the bottom ... I would guess for a pin to hold it closed, but that is missing. It is about 3/16 inch deep.
One side shows Christ on the cross with the inscription above His head, and the opposite side I would guess is a Madonna and child... very nice vintage condition ... exact age and origin unknown.

My in-laws were antique dealers in northern Illinois for years, and then both worked for an auction service for a long time. They were collectors of almost every kind of historical memorabilia since shortly after World War II. PawPaw could always find a lot more interesting items to bring home than he could sell, so he saved them!
After Mimi passed away in 2005, PawPaw decided it was time to start sharing his treasures with others, and he entrusted me with listing them. We lost our PawPaw on September 26, but I still have many, many of his vintage and antique collectibles that need new homes, and I will continue listing them as we have for the past four years.
I am not a dealer, a collector, or an expert, but I do try to describe each of PawPaw's items carefully and fully and to take good photos. If you have any questions about any item listed, please feel free to ask, and I will do my best to find the answer for you.
