Review:

This is a very nice practical guide to wood turning, with a bit of history of the craft and machinery thrown in for good measure.

In fact, a careful read of this will equip the reader with the knowledge to do wood turning without motorized machinery at all, undertaking easy and practical to implement methods of our ancestors, yet also educate us in the use of modern tools, cutting methods, rates, angles and tradecraft.

Nice set of learning demonstration projects that build the skills necessary to make most anything in the world of wood turnings from desk legs to vases.

Simple, fun, easy to understand and very practical.

An old friend is always making wood turnings from bowls for gifts to tubes for telescopes and now we know why … this is fun !

Makes us want to go out and get a lathe and start making stuff right away!

Whether you want to undertake wood turning for commercial purposes, or just want to have a great time making stuff … this is a great book to make sure you have the competencies and knowledge to do as you want.
