A beautiful old figural sewing accessory in the form of a little wooden beehive. Beautifully turned on a lathe and hollowed out within. A hole is fitted to the side so that a cotton or fine twine can pass through. These were popular in the days of freehand needle working, and this may indeed be an old piece (Being unmarked or dated its difficult to say with confidence?) I haven’t seen a reel holder this shape before- and it’s a beautiful addition to a vintage sewing collection. Excellent complete condition.
