Vintge Sponged Rim Floral Quimper Plate Faience Pottery
A beautiful faience pottery luncheon or salad plate marked, "Henriot" and "Quimper" and "France" A lovely example of the classic Quimper design, the plate has an colorful large spray of flowers in the center with a wide band of sponge rosy red at the edge. Measures 8 inches in diameter. The mark on the back of the plate dates the piece to between 1922 and 1968.
Excellent condition - no chips, cracks or repairs -- even the glaze is remarkably free of chips - a common flaw in older Quimper.
