~ Vintage Folk Art Appetizer Server Hand Painted Wood Duck ~
Whimsical and fun, this appetizer server was hand made many years ago. The duck's back has holes drilled into it for the toothpicks. I love the bill, it is made from an old fashioned wood clothes pin and will hold the napkins. Crackers or other appetizers go on the tray where the duck stands. The handle is a large screw eye on the back of the duck. It is really adorable.
The plate is 12" in diameter, the duck is 6 1/2" tall.
It is in good condition but there is some crazing on the paint, which you can see in the pictures. I would use it more as a decorative item, it is so whimsical, a really fun example of folk art. Circa 1940s to 1950s.
