I bougth this 86 Jetta Diesel 1.6L for my son , we got it with the intention of converting it to veggie oil and he would drive it to school. But after discussing it we decided to sell it because the distance to school is too short to drive it on veggie. So I am selling it back, the car has a resealed injection pump, new injectors ,new air filter, new oil and filter change, and I will change the fuel filter for the winner (buy it now only) . The car starts at first try with no smoke at all, for what I noticed, the engine sounds nice and smooth with no noises or knocks, I took a pick under the car and it looks dry , no oil or antifreeze seen on the bottom surface. A car this old of course has some scratches, and it may have some issues that are not of my knoledge, and a few rust spots by the bottom of rear  fenders but nothing major, car could use a new paint job and it will look beautiful. Like I said before , I owned the car for a short period and I described honestly and to the best of my knoledge, I encourage bidders to come and look at the car before auction ends, not later, the car runs fine and it could be converted to biodiesel or veggie oil, since it makes 50 MPG, and it has a pre-combustion chamber which it burns the veggie oil better that the new Tdi's ( direct injection). No turbo, no A/C, no power steering. Good interior with CD radio .Good commute or station car, or to go to college. Good car for the money, Bid only if you are serious to buy it and can afford it and it's shiping at your own expense.
