This is a VERY RARE Voltron Lions metal figure from the early '80s. The stickers on the bottom of the lions say copyright 1981, made in Japan. I actually bought this brand new in 1984. I bought it piece by piece. The Green Lion and Yellow Lion came together in a set, as did the Blue Lion and Red Lion. The Black Lion was sold by itself. I purchased all of the Lions from Ben Franklin's department store, which has long since gone out of business. As any Voltron fan knows, the Green and Red Lions can be transformed into the arms, the Yellow and Blue Lions are transformed into the legs, and the Black Lion forms the torso and head. When all five Lions are attached, they form Voltron, Defender of the Universe.

This figure is in NEAR MINT condition. It has been sitting on a shelf in my parents home, untouched, for over 20 years. The only flaw is a missing fang on the Black Lion. If you look closely at picture #2, you can see the Black Lion only has one bottom fang. Other than this, it looks just the way it did when I first bought it. All of the decals are still intact, and it is still fully functional.
