This is a classical, Art Deco, 14kt white gold and diamond chip, cameo and onyx flip ring from the 1920's - 30's.

This ring is marked on the inside "14K" and is white gold. The ring is a size 7.5 with the central pendant measuring 7/8" tall x 1/2" wide and is almost 3/8" thick from the base of the pendant to the cameo tip. This piece has a carved shell cameo on one side and a pendant of carved onyx on the reverse and the pendant flips so that you can wear the ring either way. The pivot portion of the ring works very smoothly and also snaps in place as it should. The cameo and the onyx are inset with small diamond chips. The onyx panel has a smoothly carved bevel at the center of the stone which reflects the light nicely. The filigree work of the gold that frames the pendant is very pretty and intricately done. The shank of the ring has thinned a little bit but it is still very solid. The cameo features have dulled and worn a little bit but she is still clearly defined and sweet without any chipping - the same is for the onyx pendant - it is very smooth and shiny.
