GORGEOUS VINTAGE 50'S PARTY DRESS!!
Gorgeous 1950's red chantilly lace party dress with silk velvet trim! Made of a cherry red lace with red taffeta lining. There are 2 silk velvet bows underneath the bust with 2 vertical stripes of silk velvet, as well as silk velvet straps. There is a gathered flared panel at the bottom of the dress which is also trimmed at the seam with silk velvet ribbon. The dress has a fitted bodice and full skirt. Dress zips and hooks in the back (metal zipper).

Condition: Very good condition. There are a few minor flaws: I believe either the straps were added later or that they were shortened as one strap is shorter than the other. You may want to replace them or shorten the longer one to make them more even. (It looks like you could also make them longer if you like, but there may be some fading/loose threads where the strap was shortened) Also, I found 3 small holes in the lace that are not very noticeable because of the red taffeta lining: 2 on the right bust, one near the rib area. There are a couple very minor marks on the straps (not very noticeable and do not detract)
Dress fits closest to a modern size S to M, but a M will probably need to wear the appropriate period undergarments/girdle to nip in the waist as the waist measurement is small. Please go by measurements below:
