VINTAGE 80s OSCAR DE LA RENTA PARTY DRESS


Superb quality!

Beautifully designed vintage 80s evening dress by Oscar de la Renta!   Black velvet bodice with puff sleeves and square neckline.  Drop waist.  Skirt is made of a heavyweight crisp black silk or similar fabric with velvet trim. It has a subtle sheen and reflects the light beautifully.   The bottom skirt is lined with a layer of crisp black organdy (?) for fullness.  The tapered sleeves snap at the bottom and each has 2 silk covered decorative buttons.  Dress zips and hooks in the back.

Label: Oscar de la Renta.  Also has I. Magnin store label.

The dress is in very good vintage condition with no holes or stains.  I found one minor repair in the back of the waistline at the seam (not a big deal and does not detract.

Marked size 8.  Dress fits like a modern S to M

  • Bust: approx. 35"
  • Waist: 30"
  • Hips: free, up to 40"
  • Length: 40 1/2"
  • Sleeve length: 23 1/2
  • Shoulder seam to shoulder seam (measured in back): 14 1/2"
