This is a vintage Venus Coloring watercolor pencil box that includes 22 original pencils and 2 other watercolor pencils, one made by Venus and the other by Wallace-Invader. The box and all other contents are made in USA. The pencil sizes range from about 3-7 inches. There is tape on the inside and outside spine. On the front of the box someone wrote L.E.R. 3-17-73 and there is a stamp that reads Walter W. Moyer Co. Ephrata, PA, which was a factory in the 80's (I think). The bottom of the box has two tears from aging. The company on the box reads American Lead Pencil Co. New York, USA. The VENUS name and statue, and the crackled coat as well as the blue band on the caps of the pencils in this package are exclusive trade marks Registered in U.S. Pat. Office (Marca Registrada) and in Foreign Countries. To produce wash and water color effects with VENUS Coloring Pencils, apply color evenly, then go over with a brush dipped in water. Definite water color lines are obtained by dipping pencil point in water. This item is sold as is. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
