IronRite Mangle Ironer
Model 88
Unusual IronRite mangle in that it has a wood case!
This was tested and heats but does not roll. I can hear the motor come on but can't get it to turn. I know that these machines need to be continually oiled, so I am hoping that someone can give this a refubishing and make it work.
The cabinet has some scratches and dings, but not too bad. The top is very good with just light scratches.
The metal trays inside that flip out for a larger work surface are in good shape and the roller cover is clean.
The interesting Art Deco handles have just a little corrosion.
Low opening bid and no reserve.
This is for local pick up in Rochester NY or I will work with you to have it strapped to a pallet for freight.
We have other interesting items on auction this week and can discount shipping if you buy more than one lot. Please click on "View seller's other listings" to see our other postings.
We get a never-ending variety of items donated to us that we sell on eBay or in our stores. Please make us a "Favorite Seller" and look for more!
Questions: If you have questions about this auction, please call the Volunteers of America Western NY at 585-698-1538 and ask for Mary Kay Stone.
Bidders: Please understand that all of the items we sell are donations to Volunteers of America and though I try my best to describe everything I know about each item honestly and accurately, pointing out all known flaws, they are sold "As Is". Everything included in the listing will be shown in the photos and if it is not there, then we don't have it. Please look at all of the photos carefully and ask questions if I have not included information that you need.
International bidders: If the shipping calculator does not give you shipping options, please contact me for a quote. Please realize that if the item is really large, it may be very expensive to ship it to your country. I only ship by USPS Express or Priority Mail International, UPS Worldwide or UPS Standard to Canada. Please check before bidding, as you are committed to the shipping costs, whatever they may be, if you are the winner. Customs fees may also be charged by your country; please research those before you bid if you are unfamiliar with them.
Local Pick up: Local pick-ups are encouraged. If you win an auction and want to pick it up in Rochester NY, you can do so by notifying me at least one business day in advance. I will bring it to the Volunteers of America store at 89 Canal St, Rochester NY 14608 which is open Mon-Sat from 8:30-5:00. There is no shipping or handling charged at this location.
We require that you pick up no later than 2 weeks from end of auction. Items can be paid for at the outlet store, or by Paypal in advance. New York State law requires that we charge sales tax on every local pick up no matter where you live.
For a small handling fee and if paid for in advance, we can deliver your purchase to one of our stores in Western NY for Local Pick Up there. We have stores in Webster, Elmira, Auburn, Warsaw, Brockport, Canandaigua and Palmyra. Please contact me after the auction for arrangements.
Make a donation? If you would like to help our cause, you can make a donation by visiting our website www.voawny.org or, if you are a seller, by using eBay Giving Works Program to donate a portion of your sale to our charity, Volunteers of America of Western NY. |
