Vtg Wm Rogers Lg Silverplate Bowl, Reticulated, Eagle Star

Listed here is a beautiful and very large serving bowl by Wm. Rogers.  It could be used for its original serving purpose but our recommendation would be the placement of colorful glass ornaments with sprigs of holly for a table centerpiece.  It would be gorgeous as the shimmering silver and glass caught the light.

The bowl measures 12" in diameter with a 1 3/4" rim with a reticulated or pierced design.  The actual bowl has a diameter of 8 3/4".  It is 1 3/4" deep.  When we received it, it was dull with no shine but we gave it a good polish and look at the results!  It is truly beautiful.

This mark was used by International Silver from 1899 until at least 1939.  We believe this dish is circa 1930s from information received from the original owner.  There are minor imperfections here and there but we are assessing this bowl as being in excellent condition.
