BACKROUND NOTE: Dayton's Annual 3-day DAYTON DAYS Festival and Civic Celebration has been going strong for over 75 years. It still features a RODEO (sanctioned by the respective National bodies/organizations) and a 3-day horse racing Meet (with paramutual betting). This historic Washington State town is one of the state's oldest and was incorporated in 1881. It has a population of around 2,600 residents. It is located in the southeast corner of the state (nearest larger cities are Walla Walla and the Tri-Cities).
