Mr. Fleming was born in 1937 and is a semi-retired minister who befriended and mentored under the late Burlon B. Craig. He uses alot of original glaze recipes that he learned from Mr. Craig and also experiments with his own. Mr. Fleming hand digs all his clay from his own property in Iredell County, NC.
This is the first time in a while that Mr. Fleming has made these double face jugs with the white clay eyes on one side. Some of his earlier jugs had them but most of his later double face jugs have blue eyes on both faces. Just a nice piece of NC Catawba Valley Southern Folk Art ! Thanks for viewing!
