Printed in 1959, this is a set of three beautifully detailed maps of military operations during the War of 1812. Each map measures about 10 by 13 1/2 inches (about 25 by 34 cm.), and is in great condition. These maps are VERY detailed, printed on a scale of up to 1 mile to the inch, and shows complete placement and manuevers of troops throughout the campaign. American units are shown in blue; British units in red. The topography of the battlefields and surrounding terrain is shown in fine detail.
Perfect for the US military history buff, not to mention being highly decorative, each map was printed on a single sheet of stock and bound into an antique book for use by West Point Cadets. There are no folds, creases, marks or stains, and the paper is clean, and not brittle. The reverse of each map contains a narative description of the battle. Some people like to frame these maps, and they would look gorgeous hanging in your office, den, library or study. These are NOT a modern copy or reproductions! An excellent investment, these maps are certain to appreciate in value over time. Please ask all questions before making your purchase.
