THANK YOU FOR VIEWING THIS AUCTION About me: Living in Florida, especially in the Tampa,St.Petersburg area has given me great opportunities to treasure hunt.I go to estate sales, garage sales, antique malls and auction houses. As with every Sunday count on me being at the flea market by 6:30 am.I have done this for over 20 years now.I have hoarded to where I can not hoard no more. So,I am offering for the first time these collector items on ebay. I hope you enjoy bidding on and looking at the things I have collected over the years. Good Luck and Happy Bidding... Up for Auction here is: A mid 19th century Washington Sheaf of Rye pint aqua open pontil American Historical Flask. After finding that wonderful Washington Father of His Country/Reverse Plain medium green quart American historical flask last weekend at the flea market(currently listed on ebay) it inspired me to list one or two other historical flasks and early American crocks I have collected over the years. This Washington Sheaf of Rye pint aqua open pontil historical fkask is in near mint condition. There are no chips, cracks or flea bites. There is some very light interior staining on the inside bottom of the flask. There are some very light surface scratches to the high points only. The flask is a 2-piece mold with an applied top and a nice sharp open pontil. The flask has a beautiful aqua green color. The front of the flask has very crisp and clear image of Our First President in a bust image with no pony tail. This is certainly one of my favorite images of Washington rarely found on American historical flasks. It is rare to see Washigton with no pony tail in a classical bust image on very many historical flasks. The reverse has a Sheaf of Rye.There are plenty of small bubbles in the glass with swirl marks and whittling to the glass just as one would expect to find in a mid 19th century flask. The bottom of the flask has a nice sharp open pontil. The bottom of the flask has a dealers label that identifies this flask as GI- 58. I purchased this American Historical flask at the St.Petersburg Antique bottle Show and Sale many years ago.The flask measures 7 1/2"h x 4 1/2" w. A mid 19th century aqua green pint Washington Sheaf of Wheat open pontil Historical Flask circa 1850. ***Please see my other auctions for more antiques, collectables and other items of interest.
