WE Edwards Quadrate "50" Bamboo Fly Rod - 9' 3/1 5/6wt

I am offering a WE Edwards & Sons Quadrate "Model 55" or Model "56" bamboo fly rod. This is an extremely high quality rod from the production era made at the Edwards shop circa 1940s-1950s.  I have included a scan of an Edwards catalog that describes this rod as a Model 55 or Model 56, 9' 3 piece rod, 5.5 ounce or 6 ounce.  The rod weighs 5.8 ounces on my postal scale so it could be either one.  This rod comes with one original tip, and was expertly restored by professional rod maker Bob Nunley.  I believe the bag and tube are original, but both do not include any markings and are similar to the catalog photo.  There are not many of these rods available today.  The rod strokes a beautiful 5wt loop with it's silky smooth medium fast "quad" action.  All three sections are the same length, but I believe Bob replaced all of the hardware from his custom stock.  The ferrules fit well and "pop" when pulled out.  The white ink marking near the butt section is the classic "Edwards Quadrate" script and is original.  The rod has never been fished by me since it was restored and is in very good restored condition.  This is your opportunity to acquire and extremely unusual and hard to find vintage bamboo fly rod.  This rod would be an excellent addition to anyone's collection.  Winng bidder will be given a 3 day inspection & return privilege with buyer paying return shipping.  Shipping and insurance is $25 to US only, payment via Paypal.
