I think it's about time to introduce some of the other dogs on our street that are friends of Leo's. This story is TRUE, I swear I couldn make up stuff like this.
Three houses down from us lives "Holly". Holly is a very old, very fat, very tired dog who gets free run of the nieghborhood because she poses NO threat whatsoever to anything but a food dish. She is the most sweet natured dog on our street and everyone loves her.
On her daily rounds she likes to go down to the other end of the street to hang out in the yard of the family who owns the chinese resturant here in our town. Every morning the grandfather does Tie-Chee ( I know that's not spelt right) in the front yard with Holly sitting at his feet watching his every move with fasination. When he is done he goes into the house and comes out with a treat for Holly.
Nine times out of ten he hands her a little chinese to go carton and slips the metal handle into her mouth. She actually quivers with anticipation when she sees him coming back out the door. It happens so often that we have all grown used to seeing Holly, fat and happy mosying down the sidewalk carrying a to go carton in her mouth. A few times she has seen Leo in our front yard and has come over to share her noodles and orange chicken with him. Or If Leo is feeling bold or rude or whatever you would call it, he trots down to her yard and stares at her till she moves aside to let him have some.
Between the two of them they rip open the carton and have a feast. It's the funniest thing you ever saw .I know people food isnt good for dogs, but who can say no to an old, fat , sweet natured dog when every day we are all just surprised that she's still alive!!
This painting measures 11 x 14 and is painted on masonite board for a sturdy backing. I coat it with an acrylic varnish to give it protection and a nice shine. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
These storys are all true I swear and they just keep getting better and better. Happy bidding. Rhondda
