West Gun Lake, Bradley, Mich., real photo postcard by unidentified photographer, ca. 1930s. This superb, sharp, detailed, real photo postcard presents a great roadside view at West Gun Lake near Bradley, Michigan during the 1930s. At left, a roadster and sedan have pulled in to refuel at the WHITE STAR GASOLINE Station where two "visible" gas pumps are ready to serve them. At right is the WEST GUN LAKE STORE selling GROCERIES & MEATS and featuring a larger-than-life ICE CREAM CONE mounted on its front porch. Just below the MEATS sign, please note the Coca-Cola signs mounted on the door of a small shed (could it be an outhouse?). At right, three youngsters in sailor whites pose for the photographer, in a grassy garden surrounded by classic white-painted roadside rocks. Please see the detail scans below. Perfect! West Gun Lake is in Allegan County. Postally unused, divided back, 3 3/8" x 5 3/8". DOPS stamp box dates postcard to 1925-1942.

Condition

Very good condition with light corner wear. Faint corner bend at lower right, light horizontal bend at right edge, and small stain in white margin at upper right corner. Soiling on reverse.
