Whitall, Tatum & Co. 1880

This hard to find 1971 first edition, softbound reproduction of Whitall, Tatum & Co.'s 1880 glassware catalog is an excellent source of reference for the early American bottle and glass collector.

It covers utilitarian glassware of every description including apothecary and show globes, patent medicines, poisons, perfumes, baby bottles, ink bottles, homeopathic bottles, laboratory glass and others. It also has a section on druggist sundries which includes everything from eye baths to syringes and nasal douches. A pharmacy section has mortars and pestals, cork presses, pill machines, etc. All of these items are illustrated with exceptional engravings and prolificially described.

This copy is in near fine condition with very light shelf wear to the covers. A scarce, must-have reference for any serious collector of early American glass!
