The maker of the cobalt brags that he tests his stoves under optimal conditions but confesses he has not tested his copycat stove in the wind. Who cares how well a stove performs in your wife's kitchen, it's the real world that counts.
The White Box Stove has been used in almost every environment known to man. It has been used on a daily basis for over three years in every state in the USA, all across Canada and at least 27 foreign countries that we know of.
The White Box Stove has been used at altitudes as high as 14,000 feet and temperatures as low as -10F degrees below zero and almost every combination in between. The White Box Stove has withstood thousands of rigorous days in the outdoors and continues to perform flawlessly.
I will admit one thing about the cobalt stove.. it only took the maker 2 years of experimenting with the
White Box Stove to come close to making a stove that is almost comparable to the White Box Stove. To bad his videos don't tell the whole truth.

Stove makers brag about how fast their stove boils water and how long it will burn on a certain amount of fuel. Here are some unsolicited test results done by independent stove owners that compares the White Box Stove to the copycat cobalt stove. This data was taken from backpackinglight.com, whiteblaze.com, bplite.com, backpacker.com and a couple other web sites. Remember this data was unsolicited and freely published by people doing their own independent testing.
These results, from the independent testers, actually show the White Box Stove to be up to 25% more efficient than the cobalt copycat stove.

When properly using a primer plate the White Box Stove will bloom faster than the cobalt stove. Don't be fooled by videos that have been "fixed" to show that one stove works better than another. The White Box Stove comes complete with a heat shield/primer plate but the maker of the video conveniently failed to tell you that part and he also fails to follow the simple easy to read instructions on how to use the White Box Stove properly. With the primer plate the White Box Stove can get consistent bloom times way under 20 seconds in most conditions. Without the primer plate the White Box Stove will bloom as fast as most stoves by simply blowing softly across the top of the stove to let the flames ignite the exterior burner holes. The maker of those fast blooming stoves also fail to tell you that their stove has a known fault and tends to go out when you place a pot of cold water on them which makes them almost useless in cold weather.
